From the first time I visited Inari, or Fushimi Inari Taisha, in Kyoto I have been mesmerized by its beauty, history and tranquility. Just like many people, be they either pilgrims, hikers or tourists I too wanted to see the place that has stood strong as the number one attraction in Kyoto on TripAdvisor. Since that first visit I have returned to Inari Shrine many times for a prayer, short visit or one of the events frequently held within the shrine’s precinct.
